Refereeing for the 2021 AYSO season:

AYSO is an all volunteer organization, and we need your help too!  Region 741 has a great group of referees, and every year we offer training to help new volunteers learn the basics of officiating, as well as make it easy to sign-up for games (Referee Scheduler).  We need help at all levels of play, and we help to group experienced referees with newer referees for their beginning games if possible.  Some new referees choose to start as Assistant Referees - we support this!  If you are considering having your child participate in the All-Star program, then your should become a referee.  Each All-star must provide 3 qualified referees (required for team to participate).

(1) Complete volunteer registration
* Login to your account at www.pasoroblessoccer.com
* (New Referees) will create a new profile
* (Youth Referees) sign in using your adult parent account
* Click on Register Now! button
* Select Register Myself  .... Volunteer or Team Staff.
* Click on View Divisions to right of AYSO FALL 2021 program.  Select each division/level. Click on View Selected Opportunities.
* Select REFEREE and then select "Sign up yourself".  Click on Continue on bottom right of screen.
* Ensure information is correct, Read/View/Accept agreements, and click on Continue to finish registration.

2) Complete Required Training/Update courses

* Safe Haven course (http://www.aysou.org) <update required every 2 years>

* Concussion Awareness course (http://www.aysou.org) <update required annually by State of California for volunteers in youth sports>
* Sudden Cardiac Arrest course (http://www.aysou.org) <required only once> 

[NEW Referees, in addition to above]
* Take the Basic Referee Training online course (http://www.aysou.org) <required for new all referees volunteering with AYSO>
* Sign-up and attend a Regional Referee Online Companion Course Field Session (http://www.aysou.org) <required field portion of training, 2 hours>
* found under "Live Courses" tab, select session for 10/Q/741 Paso Robles, CA
* select date/time to register for this session (you must complete online course and pre-register for field session to attend).

3) Keep your knowledge current!
* Review the new 2021-22 IFAB (formerly FIFA) Laws of the Game – English    Spanish
* Review the 2021-22 LOTG Changes
* Read the new AYSO Rule of Competition addition regarding heading the ball for 12U and younger divisions.
* Review the Regional Referee Manual.
* Attend returning referee update (RRA will email link to you). 9/10 (Friday) and 9/17 (Friday), both at 630pm.

4) Referee Games!
* signup in Referee Scheduler for games.
